New Black Ops and problems for PS3 users

Every patch improves (or at least tries to) the game in various areas, but the best ones truly add to the game in a significant way. This one may go a bit in the middle of that. For those wanting to hone your skills, or maybe just try out some new combinations, you can now set up offline matches with AI bots. People who are always looking for the next thing to do can enjoy the over 400 new contracts, and can now use a split-screen option for multiplayer action. Also added, the theater mode has a new “Dolly Cam” feature to aid in custom movie making.

Those are the big ticket changes overshadowing the usual stability maintenance. Though there seems to be a bit of a problem on that front. PS3 users of the game have been reporting more problems with crashing and connections problems as a result. It’s been two days since the patch, and there seems to be no fix yet. Though this seems to be only the latest problem for the PS3, as server issues have been a problem since launch. The full list of the patch notes can be found at the official Black Ops forum.

I still have yet to pick up the game, but I’ll definitely stick to the 360 version once I do. It just seems to have less issues. Any of you Sony players out there having the same problems? Go over to the official forums and put in your two cents. But be polite. Can’t have rudeness on the internet, after all.
