Pirates of the Burning Sea will be free.

Flying Lab Software has announced that their game of pirates, Pirates of the Burning Sea will be free.
It seems that many game companies try to adopt the free model.
Turbine is working hard on the market today.
Anyway, the great news about Pirates of the Burning Sea is to be Free:

We are prepared to change the business model of subscription of the Burning Sea Pirates of the free game (from now on F2P). This is the culmination of a decision made late last year and am thrilled to announce it. It is not a decision taken lightly, we planned and worked to make it a seamless transition. We are happy for the following reasons.
First, it reduces the barrier to entry for new players wishing to play pirates and prove it. Experience shows that players who tested the game tend to keep playing with it, then we remove all types of impediment to the players try the game. The free tests are very good, but knowing that it requires a subscription makes players think in terms of potential compromise
- "I want to be paying every month the long term" rather than "I have fun with this today?" The first question is tough for any product, but we feel really good about the second.

Second, it allows players to spend as much as they want. With a subscription
there is only one price. The most fun is the game, the better the model works.
So that is the reason why we believe that Pirates of the Burning Sea is perfect for a game Free (F2P).
Finally, in the modern MMORPG Online game, players usually rotate around several games which are occupied. With a subscription, it is a hassle to cancel and re-subscribe as they travel between the different games. With games Free (F2P), participants can play the games they want at that moment without having to think who committed weeks or months ago.
With the win F2P players and also won the community in its diversity.
