Just about everyone who has used Facebook before has at least heard of the popular farming application/game FarmVille. If you've logged into Facebook in the last six months, chances are you've received some kind of notification related to the ridiculously popular social farming game. It seems you can't use Facebook and not know of it.

Indeed, you could have safely assumed that millions were playing the game, but now we know exactly just how many million populate FarmVille's userbase. The number? 80 million.

This data comes from AppData, who revealed yesterday that the FarmVille community recently passed the 80 million mark. According to AppData, the game, which is developed by Zynga, is the most-used Facebook application.

By comparison, FarmVille's rival, FarmTown, has about 13 million users.
