Star Trek Online (STO).Star Trek has been a part of PC gaming since its inception.

http://jugar-online.blogspot.com/

In 1971, decades before the PC became commonplace in the home and six years before anyone had heard of a movie called Star Wars, Mike Mayfield wrote a text-based Star Trek game in BASIC. Since then, there have been some 50 Star Trek computer games released over the past 35+ years.

As with every major game franchise, for every hit title there are a lot of misses. Some of the better games that involve Star Trek-style space combat are the Starfleet Command series, Klingon Academy, and Bridge Commander. The only laudable Star Trek-themed first-person shooter is the Elite Force series. Unfortunately, the most recently-released games I've mentioned here debuted about seven years ago.

Since then, it seems Paramount has put the brakes on Star Trek game development (probably a reaction to a decline in popularity). Now, in 2010, with a new movie reinvigorating the franchise, we will see the first-ever massively-multiplayer online (MMO) game in the Star Trek universe: Star Trek Online (STO).

Developed by Cryptic Studios (the folks responsible for the popular City of Heroes and City of Villains MMOs), STO takes place in the traditional Star Trek universe about 30 years after the events in the feature film Star Trek: Nemesis. For the sake of making things more interesting, the galaxy is a much more volatile place. The Klingon Empire has declared war against the Federation, the Borg have returned, and new enemies have entered into the fray. In short, there is a lot of combat to go around. This really sets the stage for the new MMO, and that's probably a good thing. Let's face it--if the game was limited to discovering ways to communicate with peaceful alien species, it probably wouldn't be a good time.

STO is combat-centric, like any decent MMO realistically has to be. That's not to say exploration is unheard of. In fact, it's a mainstay of the game. Just don't expect to do much exploring without getting shot at.

I've played a few MMOs, and STO stands out among the crowd, as it does a few things differently. To begin with, there are really two distinct games here: a space game, where you control your starship in battles against enemy vessels, and a ground combat game, where you control your character and crew. Many missions will require a mix of space and ground engagements. But some will play out only in space, while others are only planet-side.

The space game is best described as a cross between Starfleet Command and Bridge Commander, and the final result is arguably better than both. For folks not familiar with those PC game titles, STO's space-combat arena might be best described as a third-person naval combat game. Every ship has four shields (front, back, left, and right), and the idea is to bring down an enemy's shields with energy weapons and then send some torpedoes to do some real damage. All the while, you try to preserve your own shields, manage energy resources, and bring multiple weapon arcs to bear in a big starship that was never intended to be nimble.

The interface is fairly accessible and functional, and as with any MMO, there are a lot of special abilities that come into play here. But what makes this really different is that there is twitch-play involved. A player cannot rely solely on earned equipment and skills to win space battles, as a crafty opponent can use maneuverability and timing to gain an advantage over a stronger foe. To my taste, the space game is more than I had hoped for, but for folks who prefer traditional MMO ground combat, the space arena might not be as appealing.

On the ground, though, the game follows the standard MMO-combat model. There are weapons, stats, and special abilities. Anyone who has played a major MMO in the past 10 years will feel right at home. Compared to space combat, the lack of innovation is noticeable, although the game does have one major twist: away teams. When you beam down, you are required to pick the crew members whom you want to bring along on your mission. Essentially, you're always accompanied by a group of non-player character (NPC) pets who you can outfit, train, and level up.

The point is that this game really does offer two very unique and separate arenas. Players spend the majority of their time in one or the other based on the types of missions they accept, but I don't think it would be possible to avoid either one entirely. The variety does keep things interesting.

Juego Final Fantasy XIII sinopsis

http://jugar-online.blogspot.com/

 final-fantasy-xiii-lightning-render

Final Fantasy is one of the greatest video game series of all time, which is an undisputed fact backed by sales numbers and numerous top ten lists. Due to its massive reputation, Square Enix has had to make games that not only push the limits of video game technology, but also innovate new ways to keep their brand fresh. They’ve done this through original stories, a new cast of characters every time, new worlds, and entire new systems of playing the game.

To sum it up, I’ve been waiting for this game to come out for a long time and I had really high expectations. The trailers looked amazing and judging from the rest of the series I felt secure, but I was still a little afraid that it might be another FFXII (So different, that they had to make it easy.) After several years of waiting, I finally had the disk in my hands. I put the game in my PS3, and I began what I was hoping was going to be a great experience.

The game starts by dropping you in the middle of a new world, Cocoon. Because of how much was going on at the beginning I felt a little overwhelmed, but after a few hours of playing I felt somewhat comfortable with the environment. Looking back, I think I liked how fast the game got started. You begin learning the battle system inside a few minuets, and it’s a good thing too, because the first few hours of battles are really just glorified tutorials. (It was a little repetitive, therefore, I don’t know how the beginning will stand up to replays.)

I thought it was interesting that for the first twenty hours of gameplay, you are essentially on a track. There are no city’s to visit, or side quests to do, you just kind of go from dungeon to dungeon in a very mathematical fashion. What was surprising about this, was that it was actually really fun. Its simplicity helped me to get into the game before turning me loose, and I think they made it simple enough for themselves to really focus on the storytelling. I really enjoy aspects like this in modern games, but it’s something I would have complained about ten years ago. Because this was one of the main aspects of FF XIII that made it not feel so much like Final Fantasy.

Story:

 FFXIII_Key Art_02

I think that my favorite part of the Final Fantasy series is the stories that go into them. Sadly, I don’t think that Final Fantasy XIII has mimicked this success. The actual story, and the complexity of the world are pretty amazing. What I think FF XIII did wrong was the delivery. Since FF X Square Enix has been moving away from subtitled scenes and speech boxes. FF XIII has made the move to 100% voice acting. Most people would think this is a good thing, but I have two problems with this. First, the Final Fantasy stories have always been cheesy, the more voice acting they have, the cheesier it gets. When you get lame dialog in a speech box it doesn’t stick with you. But bad writing with voice acting, can make it feel like a horrible movie. Therefore my long winded complaint is, sometimes the bad dialog made me laugh out loud and took me out of the story.

The second reason is much shorter, it’s simply that speech boxes are great. In the past I’ve been able to say, “I was playing Final Fantasy, it’s an upper echelon video game, in many ways it’s more like reading a book.” But, now I can’t say that any longer… oh well.

Graphics/Audio:

 LIGHTNING

The graphics were tremendous. The models, the landscapes, and the environments are easily the best I’ve ever seen. If I had to complain about something it would be the crappy costume design on some of the humanoid bosses. (Not really an issue with the graphics, but I think it’s a valid complaint.)

When it comes to sounds, I usually don’t have too much of an opinion, but I would definitely say this game had a really strong sound track. Some parts reminded me of Ghost in the Shell, and Macross Plus. Which I think was a good fit for this game. (a futuristic element.) As far as video games are concerned, the voice acting was really well done– especially when you factor in how much of it there was.

Controls/Gameplay:

 FIRA

The new paradigm battle system is definitely different from any other Final Fantasy game. It resembles the gambit system from FF XII in that the computer is doing most of the work, but it is far more intuitive than its predecessor. What I liked about this system is that it requires both skill and strategy. The battles have a lot of variation, and since you really can’t back track in the game, they are pretty consistently challenging.

Although, overall the battle system was really good, it had its flaws. I felt like the most annoying aspect was that you couldn’t change the party leader during combat, and if your party leader ever got killed, it would automatically game over. I can’t tell you how many battles I got in where all the enemies would gang rape my party leader, so I would have to restart, sometimes several times in a row.

Which brings me to my biggest complaint about the entire game– the summon system. The summons in Final Fantasy XIII were literally the worst in the entire series. Not only did they change what the summons looked like, but they actually turned them all into transformers. For example, Shiva is now the Shiva sisters, and they transform into a motorcycle. Ifrit turns into a race car, and Alexander (I wouldn’t lie about this) turns into a castle. I actually refused to use the summons, so I can’t go into great detail about how they work, but save to say– I didn’t like them.

Wrap up:

What I liked about this game, was that it was well made and fun to play through. The battle system was unique and challenging, and the story was good enough that I wouldn’t mind running through it again.

My main complaint is actually the stupid Summons, but if I look passed that, I really don’t have much to say. It wasn’t the best Final Fantasy game to date, but I’m not disavowing it from the series either.

OVERALL SCORE:

  • Graphics – 10
  • Controls – 10
  • Replay – 8
  • Audio – 10
  • Story – 8
  • Overall – 9

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is a game that should appeal to most Wii users

    http://jugar-online.blogspot.com/

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is a game that should appeal to most Wii users. Not only does it make great use of the two wireless controllers which make the Wii so unique, but it also is a child-friendly fun game, which is even fun for adults to play.

In this game, you get to play a variety of Olympics sports on the Wii, either against the computer or with a group of friends, providing you have enough controllers. You can choose between 20 characters, who are all from the Mario games on Nintendo or Sonic's Sega games, so that everyone can play as someone who they loved from other games. Each of them has their own strengths: for example sonic is fast, but Dr Eggman is really strong, which means that you can apply a little strategy to your character choice, in order to have the best performance in each event. You can also play as your 'mii', which is a little wii character that you make (if you have played wii sports then you know what I mean), but generally it's much more fun to play as one of the Nintendo or Sonic characters.

new video game on the market that is getting a lot of attention for its level of violence and sex

    Sexually-explicit video game simulates rape
    http://jugar-online.blogspot.com/
There is a new video game on the market that is getting a lot of attention for its level of violence.

The subject is so sensitive that we debated whether or not we should even report on it. But if you see this on your child's computer, or you hear them talk about it, we feel like it something parents need to address.

The game is called RapeLay and the object is for the player to assault and rape young women. RapeLay has caused an international outrage and it's something parents need to know about it.

The game starts out with a young girl standing on a subway platform. The game lets the player choose and control how they attack her. You and a few "friends" can corner her; the player can grope and lift her skirt. In some scenes, the player can rape her, the girl's sister and mother, again and again.

Erin Jemison, director of the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault, watched a video demonstration of the game and was outraged.

"You can hear the woman upset in the background kind of screaming that's scarily realistic from what rape victims' experience," she says. "Years and years of research tell us once we dehumanize someone, it's so much easier to commit violence against them."

Experts say other violent games like Grand Theft Auto has made some kids think this kind of violence is okay.

"I've seen much worse things in America," says YouTube user, HarlynsOpinion, a young woman. "If we can play games as bad as Grand Theft Auto…and Halo...then we should be allowed to play RapeLay or any sexual fantasy game."

When it comes to other fantasy games, some gamers don't see the harm.

"It's a fake world. It's a simulated world in essence. That's really all it is," says gamer Derek Sorenson.

But even some hard core gamers know this type of simulated violence is wrong.

"I would think that a rape game would desensitize the mind to rape," adds gamer Russell Jenkins.

"What's more upsetting is - what kind of society we have created that this is fun?" adds Jemison, saying parents need to sit down and show their children what's right and wrong.

"We need to (say) 'Okay, yeah it's just a game…That's not real life, but do you understand anything of what rape is? Do you understand what consent is?

"If we are not going to sensor these games, then let's at least have the other side of the discussion as well," Jemison says.

These types of Japanese games are called Hentai Games. They almost always feature young girls and -most of the time- the games are violent, featuring rape and torture. If you hear your child talk about these games or have seen them on their computer, experts say it's time to have "the talk."

RapeLay has been yanked off store shelves worldwide but it went from banned to worse. The game is now viral online.

FarmVille, the Facebook application that people over the age of 35 just can’t seem to put down

    http://jugar-online.blogspot.com/

When you talk about corrupt politicians and pork barrel spending you don’t picture a lazy official blowing off an important meeting in order to feed their virtual hogs, but one Bulgarian council member has lost his job for doing just that.

FarmVille, the Facebook application that people over the age of 35 just can’t seem to put down, has claimed its newest victim. Dimitar Kerin. Kerin has been kicked off the Municipal Committee of Plovdiv after getting caught multiple times tending to his online crops. Not only was the ex-councilman using a city-paid laptop to play what could be the lamest online game since Scrabulous, he decided the best time to milk his cows was in the middle of a budget meeting. Why somebody who lives in a small province in Bulgaria needs to go online for farming is anyone’s guess, seeing as Kerin could have just as easily jumped in his

1985 Yugo GV and drove five minutes in any direction to find a very real field in need of tilling. Kerin’s main defense was that he isn’t the only one on FarmVille, noting that “he had reached only Level 40, whereas Daniel Zhelyazkova, a councilor from the rightist Democrats for Strong Bulgaria party, was already at Level 46.” Hopefully now that he has more time on his hands, Kerin will be able to finally top Mr. Zhelyakova.

Lost Shell collection, CrowdStar happy aquarium

    http://jugar-online.blogspot.com/

After first introducing the concept of item collections earlier in the month, with the release of the Lost Shell collection, CrowdStar has taken the concept one step further, introducing a second collection in time for the upcoming Easter holiday.

As you might assume, the collection has you finding Easter eggs in your friends’ treasure chests. Unlike the shell collection, that unlocks for users at level 10, the Easter egg collection requires you to be level 13 or above.

Nine different Easter eggs have been hidden by a little bunny in the game. There are three common eggs, three uncommon eggs, and three rare eggs for you to find. As you start hunting for the eggs, remember to check out Harold’s demo tank, as it also contains a treasure chest.

Fish Snacks" to feed your neighbors Happy Aquarium

Log into Happy Aquarium today and you'll discover a pink canister of 200 "Fish Snacks" to feed your neighbors' fish with. It's a small change that represents a major improvement for earning coins and collecting Super Sea Shells.

One of the ways to earn coins in Happy Aquarium is to regularly visit your neighbors' tanks to scrub the glass and click on the treasure chests (called "Starter Chest" in the game). But when your neighbors are neglecting their tanks, the chests won't refill with gold, and the treasure chests sport a "Tank Needs Love" sign instead. Moreover, with the introduction of the Super Sea Shell Hunt, clicking on treasure chests have become more important than ever, as it's the ONLY way you can collect those shells.

But now, all you've gotta do is sprinkle some of that happy fish crack snack into those lonely tanks, and the treasure chests will become clickable and full of coins! Sounds questionable, doesn't it? But this solution definitely turns those dead-weight neighbors into productive, gold-producing members of Happy Aquarium once again.

UPDATE: To everyone who loves the new Happy "Fish Snacks" and want more, please note that there's a glitch with this feature! The developers know about this, as people have been loudly complaining on the Happy Aquarium Community (which is the game's official forum). But once it's fixed, we'll have free daily re-fills!

CrowdStar has expanded the feature set of Happy Aquarium

    http://jugar-online.blogspot.com/
CrowdStar has expanded the feature set of Happy Aquarium by virtual leaps and bounds over the last few weeks. First they unveiled the concept of item collections, allowing users to find not one, but two sets of lost items (shells and Easter Eggs), and now, they’ve created something called Expeditions, which are found in the logbook icon next to the treasure map at the bottom of the gameplay area.

The next time you log into the game, you’ll receive a pop-up alerting you to the new feature, which explains that Expeditions will allow you to acquire “rare creatures for your tank.” First, though, you’ll have to fill your boat with willing friends (Happy Aquarium neighbors).

If you’re above level 20, you can take part in these expeditions. Enter into the feature’s menu (again, click the logbook at the bottom of the gameplay area), and you’ll see that you need to recruit a group of ten different Happy Aquarium neighbors, who will fill the roles of everything from Cook and Deck Swab, to Lookout and Captain aboard your vessel.

For this expedition, you’ll need to recruit all ten crew members in order to capture the Loch Ness Monster.

We’ll be sure to let you know if and when other expeditions become available to complete. For now though, head over to your aquarium to start your journey to find this mysterious and rare creature!

The rules are simple: create a video that starts with “I love Happy Island on Facebook because…” and then go from there. Crowdstar suggests players mention neighbors, newsfeeds, gifts invites, or whatever else players love most about the game. All participants need to be fully-clothed (sorry, exhibitionists!) and videos should not be longer than one minute. Dear Future Happy Aquarium Tycoon,

f you're sick and tired of running around totally broke while other players get nice fishes and aquariums and the most expensive props and special items, this information is for you.

You've probably always wondered why you can't seem to make as much money or level up as fast as the other players in the game.

I used to wonder the same thing. I thought,

"Where are these people making money so fast?"

"Are they buying it on Happy Aquarium?"

"What are fishes they training and selling?"

    So I set out to
spy on all the successful players I could find to see just what they did to earn all of their money and to level up so fast.

I spent months using stealth tactics to track high level players everywhere from the forums to adding them and visiting their aquariums and back.

I discovered just what it was they were doing to make extreme amounts of money- and then improved upon their methods myself and even created amazingly profitable new techniques.

They never suspected a thing, that is, until I started making more money than all of them...If they found out that I spied on them- they would hate me even more!

    They Just Laughed at Me!

I didn't just spy on other players, but I interrogated them as well. Any time I saw wealthy players I would add them as a friend and strike up a conversation so I could learn all their secrets for myself.

The most common reaction from these players was to laugh about how
easy it was to make money and how stupid people were for not doing it too. Most of them wouldn't tell me their secrets, but slowly a few of them started to crack and let me have little tips about what they were doing.

    I Was Amazed

Their strategies were so stupidly simple I was amazed I hadn't thought of them first, many of them made money by training and selling obvious fishes at selected times of the day.

Many of them had "secret" techniques to dominate the game by increasing fish production and optimizing the buying and selling times.

(If you're like me you're going to freak out once you learn these techniques!)

And these guys never had dead fishes or ever needed to sell off them off early for money. They always just knew what to do to have the edge in the game (Believe me, it's not what you think!)

    I'm NOT Keeping the Secret

Since I've first discovered these secrets, I've spent 3 months improving on them, tweaking them, creating my own, and tossing out the ones that no longer work.

I now have the largest number of aquariums, the best fishes, corals, props and special items. In fact, I used to share my aquarium info right here on this page so I could talk to other gamers like you.

In a matter of days, I was getting thousands of e-mails and Facebook adds from total strangers, all begging me to show them how I did it. I was like a Happy Aquarium rock star... everyone wanted to know my secrets! Things got so crazy, it was totally out of control. Even more amazing...

Other Players Started to Hate Me!

When I started sharing these secrets, I had no idea just how incredibly mad it was going to make the other Happy Aquarium tycoons. I soon found out...

Since first publishing these strategies, I've had my account attacked, been sent hundreds of viruses and trojans (actually this happens pretty much daily) and the corrupt aquarium owners even pressured the biggest strategy sites to pull all my links!

Frankly, it's extremely dangerous for me to even reveal these secrets anymore - these guys have just lost the plot and are doing everything they can to stop me and make my life totally miserable!

But I won't quit that easily.

    These Secrets Must be Revealed...

I came up with a solution that would allow me to do what I love (play Happy Aquarium) and still share this information.

I know there are millions of players who are frustrated by their inability to build their perfect aquarium. I feel for them because they are exactly where I used to be - broke and frustrated, ready to quit.

I want to give back to the players and the community that's been so good to me...

    That's why I created the:

    "Happy Aquarium Secrets" Guide
    Exclusively For
    Mastering the Game

This is the original best-selling guide for Happy Aquarium that has been in publication for over 6 months with THOUSANDS of copies in the hands of Happy Aquarium lovers just like you.

In this exclusive and detailed guide (PDF format) I lay out all the top secrets I've discovered in my entire time playing Happy Aquarium.

I hold absolutely nothing back! These are the same secret tactics that have made me millions of dollars and 'pimped out' my aquarium with ease and made me the number one target of the "corrupt" for releasing them.

No Fluff - No Filler - 100% Legal

If you're like me, you've probably seen other guides for sale for Happy Aquarium. Sad to say, I've purchased all of them and they are nothing but filler with minimal tips in between.

And I'm guessing if you've played Happy Aquarium for more than a day or two you don't need a guide to tell you how to sign up for the game or the difference between training and selling, right?

Then why waste your hard-earned money on a big guide that is full of fluff?

Even worse, many guides provide tips or "cheats" (which are actually hacks) that will get your account banned. My strategies are
100% game legal, will not get you banned and never use any sort of third-party software, bots or hacks.

I'll also NEVER ask for any sort of account information from you- giving that out is a quick way to get your account stolen! Can you believe some guide sellers actually ask for that stuff?

    Don't fall for those scams!

In the "Happy Aquarium Secrets Guide" I've kept the information compact for your benefit. There is no filler, fluff or space wasted- just all the strategies and tactics you can use to grow your aquarium as large and as fast as possible!

Ever wonder why only a few people seem to have a 'pimped out' aquarium?

Now YOU can become one of the few as I take you by the hand and guide you page by page as you learn these killer strategies...
