juegos gratis online - games free online "Space, the final frontier."

"Space, the final frontier." Even people who aren't Star Trek fans know those four words, so deeply has the series ingrained itself into the public mind. Small wonder then, that the show has sponsored so many computer and video games. This February, an online role-playing game will join the ranks. Other February releases like Jumpgate Evolution show that space remains a popular topic. Meanwhile, Drakensang: The River of Time will appeal to fantasy enthusiasts; Napoleon: Total War will target strategy fans; and Bioshock 2 will provide a release for action junkies. Star Trek started in 1966 and has spawned numerous spinoffs and movies. Star Trek Online brings the entire fictional universe together as a single online role-playing game on your computer screen. The concept is slightly new, since most games like this - think World of Warcraft - are focused on medieval worlds. Nonetheless, the new Star Trek seems set to forge some success in its decidedly more modern era, letting its players fight evil with phasers and warp engines instead of armour and battleaxes. Players step into the shoes of a spaceship captain, their first task being to recruit a crew. Along with exploring the universe and fighting the odd space battle, missions to explore new planets are standard in Star Trek Online. And trekkies can go just about anywhere they want in this game. Multiple editions of the game from Namco Bandai are planned with various extras, ranging in price from 50 to 80 euros (69 to 111 dollars). Like any online game, an internet connection is required. There are also additional monthly fees. Game designer Codemasters also dreams of taking its players to the farthest reaches of space, but with its online spaceship game Jumpgate Evolution. This game doesn't come packed with the history of Star Trek and its focus is on action-filled battle. But there is also time set aside for exploring the universe and negotiating trade deals. Jumpgate Evolution is supposed to hit stores during February and cost 40 euros, plus monthly fees. Dtp has chosen to stay more grounded with its latest edition of the Drakensang series, due for a February 19 release. It's set in a familiar medieval world where players spend most of their time fighting monsters. This new version is subtitled The River of Time and is set 23 years before the first version. Its developers promise a history with lots of twists and turns, with characters from the first game making appearances alongside new personalities. The game is set to cost 45 euros, with a collector's edition, packed with bonus content like a map, to be marketed for 70 euros. The strategy genre, just like role-playing, is almost impossible to mess up. Some people prefer real-time strategy games like Starcraft 2, while other players like more time to ponder their moves, like they can do with the 2009 release Empire: Total War. The producers of those games haven't rested on their laurels these past few months. Instead, they have come out with Napoleon: Total War. In many ways, Napoleon is just a polished-up version of Empire with more history. Players recreate Napoleon Bonaparte's most famous battles, from his campaigns through Italy or Egypt to his march on Moscow. As is common, initial planning is conducted on three-dimensional overview maps, while the fighting is done on the battlefield in real time. When it is released on February 19 for 40 euros, players will be happy to see that the Battle of Waterloo is also included. February will also see the sequel to one of the most unusual and highly praised games of 2009. Just like its predecessor, Bioshock 2 is set in the sunken city of Rapture. And, just like before, the graphics are infused with an art deco charm and the dark atmosphere popularized in the original. The Little Sisters make a reappearance, while the player takes on the role of Big Daddy. There's also a Big Sister character. Anyone confused by all this will be happy to hear that the first game - its visuals and gameplay still groundbreaking - is still available at a significant markdown and is certainly worth a try. Bioshock 2 from 2K Games will cost 50 euros.

Zynga vs Farm Ville

Friends are starting farms, restaurants, aquariums, posses of gangsters, and even neighborhoods. Not in their real analog lives, but in their digital ones. And amazingly, some are paying actual money for virtual products, like tractor fuel or guns.

Zynga
FarmVille

The company that makes the most popular of these games, such as FarmVille and Café World, is Zynga Game Network Inc., a 2-1/2 year old San Francisco startup that has been rumored as a possible initial public offering candidate. But the company, which last week sold a stake for $180 million to Digital Sky Technologies of Russia, doesn't sound like it wants to go public anytime soon. See Zynga's funding news here.

Still, as theories abound from Wall Street to Silicon Valley about what tech IPO prospects will be the hot deals of 2010, Zynga is a company to watch, even if they don't go public next year. It already has at least $100 million in revenue and is profitable, according to the company.

Zynga executives tried quash the IPO rumor a bit, noting that with the latest funding they are buying some time so they don't feel "the burning need to go" public. The cash from the DST investment was used to pay out the equity stakes of some early investors and employees, the same thing that Facebook did when it got a big cash infusion from the same investor. See Facebook news here.

"The glare of going public is a big distraction," said Vish Makhijani, Zynga's chief operating officer, in an interview. When asked if the company might try and go public next year, along with other rumored candidates like Facebook, Makhijani would only say, "It's just later than now."

Since its founding in 2007, Zynga has raised $219 million in funding, and among its early investors are Kleiner Caufield Perkins & Byers and Institutional Venture Partners.

FarmVille it's on the top of the facebook games in 2010

FarmVille, the in-Facebook game that simulates… farming, has gotten a new feature that users are buzzing about, and the horses finally have a place to go. Apparently this was a problem.

FarmVille, according to this post, outstrips the next most popular game by nearly twice as many users on a monthly basis- followed by Birthday Cards, Cafe World, Happy Aquarium and FishVille. All players will receive a foundation in the gift boxes, and to add a horse stable, users need to solicit friends and other players to lend help and materials. (So expect to see more FarmVille related begging in your friend feed in the near future.)

FarmVille Freak posted the following instructions from a Zynga Community Manager on adding the horse stable to your virtual farm:

“Once you’ve placed the Foundation on your farm, you will be prompted with a message letting you know that you can post a feed to ask you friends for help building your stable.

Clicking the “Share” button will give you the option to post a feed to your wall. Up to 10 of your Neighbors can click on this feed to receive 100 Coins.

In order to use your Horse Stable, you’ll need to finish building it. Selecting ‘Look Inside’ from your foundation’s menu will show you what you need to complete your Horse Stable.

When you first place the foundation, you’ll have one Brick already. In order to build a complete stable you’ll need 10 of each item. You can get these items one of two ways:

1. From neighbors via the Free Gifts menu.

Neighbors can send you the components you need to build your Stable. Your Neighbors will be able to send you two of the five types of building components to help you complete your horse stables.

Please note that the two components displayed on the Free Gifts Page are randomized. As such, the components displayed on the Free Gifts Page may be different for each user. These two components are changed weekly.

When neighbors send you a building component, it works exactly like any other free gift. After you accept the gift it will appear in your gift box.

After clicking the “use” button under the gift it will automatically be added to your Horse Stable.

2. Purchasing components from the Market,

You can purchase components required to build your Horse Stable from the Market for 1 Farm Cash per item.

When you reach 25 items, you’ll receive pop-up that will allow you to post a feed to your wall. The first ten neighbors to click this feed will receive a random building component for their own Horse Stable construction.

When you complete your Horse Stable, you will receive a popup asking you if you’d like to share the news with your friends. Clicking the Share button on this popup will give you the option to post a feed to your wall that will give up to five neighbors who click on it a free Grey Horse.

Once the Horse Stable is complete, you’ll receive a Grey Horse of your own.

You’re able to store up to 20 horses in your stable and you may only have one Horse Stable per farm. Right now, you can store the regular brown Horse, the Grey Horse, and a new purchasable Pinto Horse.

Every 24 hours, you’ll be able to collect from the horses stored in your Horse Stable.”

Happy Aquarium is easily the biggest fish in the sea. With more than 28 million players every month as of this writing, it's not only the most popular aquarium game - it's the 5th most popular app on Facebook. And yet despite these massive numbers, once you get ankle deep in tank water you can't help but wonder why anyone would find this relatively shallow offering so appealing. Happy Aquarium may be the biggest fish in the sea, but it spreads itself too thin to be considered the best.

Happy Aquarium, unlike many of its chief rivals, is a game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Cartoony visuals and forgiving game design make this an experience well-suited to gamers who don't have the time or patience to commit to the massive fish farms of Fish World or Fishville. While much of the game shares common themes with other aquarium sims on Facebook, Happy Aquarium does a good deal to set itself apart and create a truly unique experience.

Getting new fish, for example, can be tackled in a far more natural way than visiting the in-game fish shop. Sure you can buy them in the store if you want to, but Happy Aquarium also allows you to mate fish to produce more eggs. It's a little touch, but it's a nice way to fill your tank without having to spend in-game coins. Plus it leads to an adorable little mating dance animation, and who doesn't love to see two little fishies in love?

Unlike other games that are only about breeding and selling, Happy Aquarium also includes a number of mini-games that give the genre some much needed variety. In a surprising twist for a game of this nature the mini-games are somewhat action-oriented. Hunting treasure, for example, will have you guiding a fish of your choosing around and through coral and other obstacles on the hunt for an elusive chest. Training your fish, on the other hand, will have you clicking on hazardous obstacles to remove them as your fish tries to safely navigate his way to the finish line.

Spicing things up like this is a welcome change for aquarium sims, but the games included in Happy Aquarium failed to really excite us or hold our attention. An A+ for concept, but a C at best for execution. The mini-games themselves aren't terrible, but they're overly simplistic and get repetitive fairly quickly. Considering you'll need to play them over and over again, it would have been great to see some variety. We love the idea of mini-games in an aquarium sim and praise developer Crowdstar for introducing them here, but the light and repetitive gameplay offered by each really rob the experience of its intended goal.

This sort of repetition and ease of gameplay made Happy Aquarium feel shallow despite the breadth of content that the game offered. It would be impossible to argue that Happy Aquarium somehow offered less gameplay than its competitors, and yet it feels like it does despite evidence to the contrary. Add to that fish that never seem to die and can be sold at any time, and you've got a game that skews far too much into the "beginner-friendly" category to have a lasting appeal.

Maybe it's best to view Happy Aquarium as a starter fish tank rather than a full-size 30-gallon behemoth. We applaud the initiative in taking a different direction than many of its competitors, but the game sometimes flubs in its execution. While we hate to argue with popular opinion, it turns out that 28,000,000 Happy Aquarium fans can be wrong. It's a shallow experience that may hold some appeal for part-time players, but for the rest of us who want a fish game to catch us hook, line and sinker, Happy Aquarium floats belly-up at the top of the tank just waiting to be flushed.

Happy Aquarium send the Valentine's Day love present

Happy Aquarium has added new Valentine's Day themed gifts and props. The gifts (below) include a cute Plush Teddy Bear holding what we would imagine to be a plush heart. If your Valentine prefers flowers, Happy Aquarium has that, also -- the Romantic Rose. (Though we aren't sure how romantic one runty rose is...)

The Valentine's Day festivities don't stop there. Happy Aquarium also has released some exclusive props to spice things up, down on your tank's cold gravel floor. Personally, I love the "beautiful crystal shaped heart for your fish to fall in love with." It really captures the essence of what Valentine's Day has become all about: expressing love in the most ridiculous way possible.

This Valentine's Day, spread the love buy sporting these cute props for all to see. You could even send that special someone a Romantic Rose gift on the day itself. Luckily, you have till Sunday, February 14 to scroll through your Facebook friends and decide who deserves that Plush Teddy Bear.

http://jugar-online.blogspot.com/

Virtual Farmers Market
